Stella Idris, 46, pictured above, and her 16-year-old son, Miracle and another, Ebube Ebuka, 18 years old, were arrested by men from Niger State Police Command for having allegedly kidnapped and attempted to sell a four year old boy. The incident happened in Nigeria
A statement released by the command said the father of the four-year-old boy reported to a police division in Suleja when he discovered his son was missing.
Upon receipt of the complaint, a team of police began their investigation, after which they dragged the suspected group to the location where the transaction was supposed to take place. According to some sources on the ground, the family tried to sell the boy to earn money to buy food due to the hardship imposed by the coronavirus luck-down.
Upon seeing the police, the alleged buyer took off and is still be searched for. The suspects have been arrested and are currently under investigation. According to the Nigerian penal code, the mother faces up to 10 years in prison
